It was GOLDEN.
This week has been an exercise in holding on to Jesus with both hands.
I don’t even have words to describe the week, except perhaps to compare it to balancing 83 spinning plates while riding a rollercoaster backwards in a lightning storm every single moment. Highs and lows, sometimes simultaneously.
But we got there.
The day was beautiful. The weather was perfect. God’s presence was everywhere.
And I am thankful.

Thanks for giving thanks with me.
“From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” (Psalms 61:2)
“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” (Psalms 62:1-2)
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
Oh what a treasure these photos are, and what a great turnout you had!! I loved your description of how the lead-up to Gold Run made you feel (I see you with eyes crossed and hair standing on end). And there were lots more pics that you couldn’t squeeze in. For every race entry, there is a family and friends that know more about childhood cancer than they did before. Loved watching Jase and Sawyer racing together. And the real winners were the Heroes and their families, regardless of their run times. I remember the first year, when Sawyer was too fragile to be exposed to many people, so he couldn’t be there. Practice breathing deeply, sipping coffee, and knowing how much Jesus and your friends love you ALWAYS!
